Tottenham are bolstering Thomas Frank’s attacking options ahead of the new season.

The Lilywhites have already secured Mathys Tel on a permanent deal, while Mohammed Kudus has arrived from West Ham.

However, there are likely to be more attacking additions over the summer, with Yoane Wissa and Marcus Rashford among the names linked with Spurs.

Now, there have been updates on the pair, and both players could be on the move shortly.

Wissa interest increases as Rashford linked with another club

Tottenham are said to have entered concrete talks for Wissa as Frank eyes a reunion with the Brentford hitman.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Since the Dane left his post in West London, the Bees’ leading players have immediately been linked with an exit this summer.

Bryan Mbeumo is primed to leave Keith Andrews’ side, with Manchester United still somehow looking like his eventual destination.

Now, inevitably, a Brentford exit has been mooted for Wissa, with a host of Premier League clubs interested.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 campaign, notching 19 Premier League goals under the stewardship of Frank.

Now, Liverpool have asked about Wissa in case they cannot sign Alexander Isak, according to the Daily Mail (15 July)

Rashford is also a surprise target for the Reds, although that initial conversation has not progressed.

With increased interest in their targets, Spurs and Daniel Levy must now take the initiative and make a move for Wissa before it is too late.

Frank must play on Brentford connection to land Tottenham Wissa

It always seems to be the case that when a manager arrives at a new club, they are linked with their former players.

However, there are some cases when such links are welcomed, and that is certainly the case with Wissa.

The DR Congo international was underrated at Brentford, but is finally receiving the recognition he deserves.

Since arriving in West London, the forward’s numbers have increased season on season, but at 28, this is a crunch summer for him.

If he were to depart the Bees, then now would be the ideal time, and this is something that could be playing on his mind.

Naturally, a move to Tottenham makes sense as Frank has gotten the best out of Wissa since his move to England.

That connection could be crucial in striking a deal, and it is one the Lilywhites must act upon now.
