Tottenham Hotspur have made yet another big appointment, poaching an experienced official from the City Group.

There have been plenty of changes to the Tottenham structure since the summer, with the headline act being the departure of Daniel Levy after 24 years as Spurs chairman.

Just last week, Tottenham announced that Fabio Paratici and Johan Lange will be joining as sporting directors at the club.

Following that announcement, Spurs have now appointed another experienced official, who will be working under the pair.

Tottenham have announced on their official website that they have appointed Dan Lewindon as the club’s new Performance Director.

Lewindon will arrive from the City Group after serving his notice period, and he is expected to be in charge of the medical, sports science, nutrition and psychology departments across both the men’s and women’s sides at N17.

The newcomer is qualified as a physiotherapist from Nottingham University and has extensive experience in sport, having worked with the Northampton Saints rugby team, England Rugby, and the Lawn Tennis Association, before moving to football.

Johan Lange reacts to the new Spurs appointment

The club’s new sporting director, Johan Lange, has expressed his delight at being able to bring Lewindon on board.

The Dane referenced his vast experience across different high-performance environments as his strength and revealed that he was the clear standout candidate for the role at Hotspur Way.

Lange said: “We are delighted that Dan will be joining us as Performance Director. He was the standout candidate and brings a wealth of experience across a wide range of team and individual sports, working in high-performance environments with elite athletes.

“Dan also has a strong academic background, and his expertise will be hugely beneficial to us as we drive this area of the Club with innovative thinking. We look forward to Dan starting.”
