Yang Min-hyeok has yet to blossom at Tottenham since his arrival at Hotspur Way.
The South Korean looked lively when he was substituted on during Spurs’ goalless draw against Luton Town on Saturday (26 July).
It was enjoyable for Tottenham fans to watch him perform after he was loaned to QPR in January. All in all, the loan move was a success, and he was well-liked at Loftus Road.
As such, the 19-year-old winger is expected to return to the Championship club this summer.

Tottenham urged to send Yang back to QPR on loan
As reported by Football London (20 July), Yang is one of three Spurs youngsters who are expected to be loaned this summer.
The others were George Abbott and Ashley Phillips, the latter of the two having returned to Stoke City.
Like Phillips, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that a return to his former loan club would be best for Yang moving forward.
“With Yang, I think Tottenham could approach QPR to see if they would take him back,” Wenham said.
“He was there last season, he settled in and scored a few goals. It would allow him to stay in London; he can probably still pop in to Hotspur Way three times a week to train and check in.
“So I think QPR would be the best possible move for Yang. They seemed to like him there last year, and he can play any of the forward positions.”
Tottenham should loan Yang this summer
The Lilywhites should tie up the issue of Yang’s loan move as soon as possible, and the outcome should be another season-long loan.
There is little chance that Frank will be able to give him the minutes needed to continue his development next season.
Yang prefers to play on the right wing, and a potential partnership with Pedro Porro could be interesting to see. However, Spurs’ second pre-season friendly against Wycombe (26 July) at Hotspur Way suggested that Frank already has a plan for his right-hand side.
Indeed, the relationship between Wilson Odobert and Porro was ethereal. The two seamlessly interchanged at any given moment, which allowed Porro to undertake a more attacking role while Odobert cut inside.
The synergy between the two, with little time together, indicates that this could be a strong partnership moving forward. Judging by Brennan Johnson starting on the left wing against Luton hours later, Frank seems to think so, too.
As such, with Mohammed Kudus able to play on the right also, it is unlikely that Yang will have much game time next season. Therefore, a return to QPR may be the best option for all involved.
