Thomas Frank’s Tottenham are keen on acquiring the services of Bayern Munich midfield mainstay Leon Goretzka.
The Tottenham boss wants to bolster his midfield on a priority basis, and according to Yagız Sabuncuoglu via Tek Yol Fener, he has his eyes set on Leon Goretzka.
Tottenham are making moves for Leon Goretzka
The German international’s agents are already in talks with the North London club over a potential transfer. With his contract running out at the end of the season, Spurs are hoping to secure the services of the 30-year-old, who is considered an ‘absolute top player’ by Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund.
Goretzka has been a part of the Bayern setup since the summer of 2018. Over the years, he has been a guaranteed starter for them. However, things have changed a bit under Vincent Kompany. While he remains a prominent figure in the team, the 30-year-old has only played the entire 90 minutes on three occasions in the league.
Will Goretzka head to North London?
His contract is running out at the end of the season, and multiple top clubs see this as a great opportunity to sign a world-class star. Tottenham are keen on his signature as they look to add more quality to their midfield.
Frank is not pleased with the current options at his disposal, and bringing in a versatile player like Goretzka will certainly help. They are already in talks with the player’s camp and are hoping to convince them about a move. However, it will all depend on Bayern Munich and their willingness to hand him a new deal.
