Tottenham Hotspur are now facing an alarming issue under Thomas Frank as one key trend continues to worsen.

Tottenham Hotspur have been inconsistent in the past few weeks under Thomas Frank, with results and performances on the pitch nothing to write home about.

Spurs fans have not been shy about making their feelings clear, with many interested in seeing their side be more attacking in games.

However, the opposite has been the case for most of the season, with Tottenham more often than not being outplayed by sides below and above them in the Premier League table, and now statistics have exposed a worrying trend in Frank’s side.

Tottenham attacking numbers expose a worrying decline under Frank

The underlying numbers now support how poorly Tottenham have performed in attack in the last month.

It has been revealed that Spurs have not had a single shot on target in the first half of a Premier League game since November 1.

To put that into perspective, the last time Spurs managed a shot on target in the first half of a league game was back on October 26 against Everton, where they won 3-0.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Ever since then, Tottenham has gone on to play five games, and in that time, they have not threatened the opposition goalkeeper in the first half of matches.

Spurs struggle to test goalkeepers continues as December begins

We are in December now, and that trend continues as Spurs once more failed to hit the target in the first half in their clash against Newcastle.

In fact, it was not until the 78th minute that Tottenham managed a shot on target, when Cristian Romero’s diving header found the back of the net.

Unsurprisingly, Tottenham’s poor run of results coincides with this worrying stat, as they have not won any games where they have not managed a shot on target in their last outings since November.
