Spurs fans might have been relieved to hear that Tottenham Hotspur have decided to freeze ticket prices for next season, but former Aston Villa and Everton, CEO Keith Wyness has made a grim prediction about Daniel Levy’s intentions.
The topic of ticket prices has been a controversial one at Tottenham Hotspur, with the supporters not happy with some of the decisions made over the last 12 months.
Just last week, the Spurs Supporters’ Trust expressed their disappointment at the pricing for the first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, there was some good news for Spurs fans earlier this month as Tottenham announced that the season ticket prices will remain the same for next season.
Keith Wyness believes ticket price increase is inevitable at Tottenham
Keith Wyness believes that the only reason that Tottenham made the decision to freeze ticket prices was due to the general discontent among the fan base.
He suggested that it was merely an inopportune moment for Daniel Levy and the Spurs hierarchy to increase rates, but they might seize on the opportunity to push up prices if the club have a successful 2025-26 campaign.
When asked about Tottenham’s decision on season tickets, Wyness told Football Insider: “The results may be a factor which swung things in this decision. The mood music is pretty dire at Spurs right now and Postecoglou has been having a bad time. I think the powers that be will have thought they couldn’t get away with another 2,3,4 per cent increase.

“They’ve got a very unsatisfied fan base. They’ve seen protests and marches. They will have thought: ‘Okay, let’s just wait until we have a winning season next year.’
“They’ll then think about moving the prices up. The results will have been a factor in their thinking, definitely. It would’ve been a dangerous time to do something with the season ticket prices.”
Protests against Daniel Levy and ENIC will continue
We have already seen thousands of Spurs fans marching in unison calling for Daniel Levy and ENIC to leave this season, and more are expected to follow.
Plans for yet another Spurs protest against the owners have been announced at the start of April as the supporters look to turn up the pressure on the hierarchy.
