Tottenham Hotspur are back in the big time after winning a European trophy for the first time in over four decades – but the victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final has also brought a significant financial reward.

It has been a season of ups and downs for Tottenham Hotspur this campaign as they have struggled domestically all season, currently sitting in 17th in the Premier League table, a single place above the relegation zone.

However, the season is now sure to end on a high after the Lilywhites secured the Europa League title, beating Manchester United 1-0 in Spain at the San Mames Stadium, booking a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Brennan Johnson’s goal was enough on the night, as Tottenham ended a nearly two-decade wait for silverware, after they last won a trophy back in 2008 against Chelsea in the League Cup.

Tottenham prize money revealed after Europa League victory

Indeed, it is great for the Tottenham faithful to have witnessed their side win a European trophy, something they have not experienced in 41 years.

Following their Europa League success in Spain, it has now been revealed how much Spurs have made from their most recent final win.

According to UEFA information, Tottenham Hotspur have now been awarded a sum of £10.95m for winning the Europa League.
