Tottenham are primed for a significant couple of final weeks in the transfer window.
Spurs will be without James Maddison for six to nine months after he ruptured his ACL against Newcastle United in pre-season, also confirming the exit of Son Heung-min.
Tottenham have made enquiries over a £50million deal for Savinho, although Manchester City wish to keep the winger.
Given the numbers involved in such a deal, are the Lilywhites demonstrating a big commitment to Thomas Frank?

Tottenham to back Frank in transfer market
Spurs have already completed a £55m deal for Mohammed Kudus, but they are not stopping there.
With the North London club pursuing Eberechi Eze and Savinho, their transfer spend could skyrocket.
Now, football finance expert Dan Plumley – speaking exclusively to Tottenham news – has weighed in on the potential Savinho deal.
“It’s a big commitment, for sure, but again, Spurs are one of those clubs that can always spend,” he said.
“We’ve said this time and time again, there’s no issue with them spending if they want to, new manager coming in, Champions League football, and also what’s happened in the context of the pre-season, obviously losing Son is a blow, but it does free up room.
“To bring somebody else in, and they’ve recouped some money for that, but also the injury to James Maddison, which of course you never planned for, but I think that in itself is a reason that they’ve had go back into the market because that’s a season-ending injury and it can shift the plans and move things around pretty quickly.
“He [Savinho] is a big commitment, but Spurs are good for that, and again, it shows that they are going to back Thomas Frank.
“If you look at where they are on the pitch, take out the league form, but it’s going to be a big season for them coming up, and you’ve got to put that kind of squad together to even compete in the Champions League at that very high level.”
Savinho can transform Spurs this season
During his first season in the Premier League, Savinho showed glimpses that he could be a world beater.
The Brazilian’s trickery, pace, and ability to beat a man would make him one of Tottenham’s best players.
Although he could have achieved better numbers, the winger still recorded 10 assists and one goal in the Premier League last term.
Furthermore, Savinho was compared to Vinicius Junior during his time with Girona, where he notched 19 goal contributions in La Liga.
While City seem reluctant, Spurs must do all they can to land one of the signings of the summer.
