Tottenham Hotspur could land long-time target Marc Guehi for a cut-price fee this summer after securing a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Marc Guehi has been long-standing, with the Lilywhites making a bid for the Crystal Palace defender on the winter deadline day.
It was a £70 million bid which was swiftly rejected by the Eagles, but Spurs could come sniffing around once more this summer.
The Lilywhites are champions of Europe after they beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League, and with the club guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season, it is expected that they will be busy in the transfer market this summer.
Tottenham confident of Marc Guehi deal after Europa League triumph
GIVEMESPORT is now reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are confident that securing Champions League qualification has boosted their chances of landing Marc Guehi this summer.
It has been revealed that while Spurs are confident of securing the services of the Englishman, Guehi is also open to completing a switch to Hotspur Way if it becomes clear that Crystal Palace are prepared to sanction his departure.
The Crystal Palace centre-back has certainly enjoyed his time at Selhurst Park, having been part of the FA Cup-winning squad that delivered silverware to the London-based club, but with his contract expected to run down in 12 months, his future could lie elsewhere.

Crystal Palace stance could help Spurs land Guehi
It is also stated by the outlet that Crystal Palace do not want to let Marc Guehi run down his contract and leave as a free agent next summer.
Instead, they are open to cashing in on the defender; however, if Tottenham are to land him, the Lilywhites would do so for a cut-price, with £50 million the figure being floated around, which is significantly less than what was offered in January.
While Tottenham are confident of landing the centre-back, there are other suitors, with Newcastle United, Chelsea and Liverpool all said to be keeping tabs on the England international.
