Tottenham are reportedly looking at the possibility of terminating Yang Min-hyeok’s loan spell at Portsmouth.

Spurs made the careful decision to loan Yang out to the Championship once again this summer after a short stay at QPR last season.

Yang has produced good moments for Portsmouth so far, but more recently has found himself struggling to impress.

Tottenham have been told that patience is needed with Yang, but the Lilywhites already seem to be taking early action in the case of his current loan deal.

Real Madrid will not be Yang Min-hyeok’s next destination

Yang is a tricky forward who possesses a dangerous dribbling threat that could one day be one of Tottenham’s biggest threats.

Although it’s not entirely worked out for the youth starlet, the 19-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance in the Championship.

According to Football Asian, reports from Spain that have suggested Yang’s proposed move to Real Madrid are wide of the mark, due to a far-off estimation of the starlet’s value.

However, Spurs are believed to be looking at recalling the Korean from Portsmouth to help him take the next step in his career.

Options for the winger’s next move include a high-end Championship side that focuses on possession-based football, a Ligue 1 side, or a Bundesliga outfit, with plenty of clubs interested.

Tottenham have high hopes for Yang in the long term, and they want to get his next loan destination spot on.

Tottenham should move Yang away from Championship

Tottenham have tried loaning the teenager to the Championship twice now, and both times, the moves have failed to pay off.

Yang will have learnt a lot about the English game while at Pompey and QPR, but now it should be time for a new challenge.

The Bundesliga is a strong division, and one that could benefit both Yang and Spurs in the long run if the Lilywhites can find an ideal club to strike a deal with.

Regardless of the Korean’s next loan destination, Tottenham should be looking at inserting smart clauses that will guarantee gametime for the youngster.

They don’t want to mess his development up, as there’s a reason why so many clubs are after him.
