Conor Gallagher has struggled for regular opportunities at Atletico Madrid, and he is being linked with a return to the Premier League.

Multiple clubs are showing interest in the England International, including Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. It is no secret that Tottenham need more quality and depth in the middle of the park. The 25-year-old knows the Premier League well, and he could make an immediate impact. He has been linked with Tottenham in the past as well. The player is a long-term target for the North London club.

Multiple clubs keen on Conor Gallagher

Manchester United are very interested in signing the 25-year-old as well. It will be interesting to see if the Spanish outfit is willing to sell him. According to a report from TeamTalk, a loan deal could also be a possibility. Signing the player on loan for the remainder of the season would be ideal for Manchester United or Tottenham. It would be a cheap acquisition and a no-risk signing.

Gallagher will be desperate for regular gametime, especially with the World Cup coming up. He will want to cement his place in the England national team, and he needs to play every week in order for that to happen. Tottenham or Manchester United could provide him with that opportunity.

Gallagher could be a quality signing

Meanwhile, former Tottenham player Terry Gibson has labelled Gallagher as a “fabulous” player.

Gibson said: “He’s been fabulous. A bit overlooked because we’ve got Marcus Rashford and we’ve got Jude Bellingham.

“He’s been overlooked when it comes to the English contingent that are playing in La Liga. But he’s been really good.

“I guess it all depends on Conor Gallagher. Whether he’s content with that role in Atleti’s team, which a lot of big players have to be at Atletico Madrid.

“And would he want to make a return back to the Premier League? But he’s been good.”

There is no doubt that he has the qualities to succeed in England. He has shown his ability with Chelsea and Crystal Palace. He could prove to be an excellent acquisition for the North London club if they can manage to complete the deal.
