Morgan Gibbs-White wants to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window, but the North London outfit has not been able to secure an agreement with Nottingham Forest.

Even though they have signalled their desire to trigger his £60 million release clause, Nottingham Forest are unhappy with an illegal approach from Tottenham, and they are ready to take a legal route.

The transfer is currently stalled, but the player wants to sort out his future this week.

Spurs plot improved offer

According to a report from Daily Mail, the ball is now in Tottenham’s court, and the player wants to join them. The North London outfit are now discussing an improved offer of around £65 million.

It remains to be seen whether they can convince Nottingham Forest to accept the offer. The player wants to move, and it would be foolish of Nottingham Forest to stand in his way. They will not want to hold a player against his wishes.

Also, Tottenham seem prepared to pay over his release clause to get the deal done. It would be ideal for all parties to sort out an agreement. Nottingham Forest will be able to use the funds to improve their adequately.

Morgan Gibbs-White wants the move

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has been a key player for them, but he is keen on a new challenge now. Joining a Champions League-level club would be a huge step up in his career. He would get to test himself at a higher level next season.

The midfielder scored seven goals and picked up 10 assists in the league last season. He could improve further with coaching and experience. He has the attributes to develop into a top-class performer for Spurs. He will certainly hope that Nottingham Forest accepts the improved offer from Tottenham when it is presented.
