Tottenham Hotspur are looking at the Southampton attacker Tyler Dibling as a potential alternative to Eberechi Eze, who has decided to join Arsenal instead.
The Crystal Palace attacker was expected to move to Tottenham, but he has chosen his next destination. Spurs are now looking at other options, and Dibling is one of the players on their radar.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that multiple players are on the list, and Dibling is “another name we have to watch” out for.
Can Spurs sign Tyler Dibling?
The player is reportedly a top target for Everton as well. Tottenham have internally discussed a potential move for the Southampton attacker, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an offer to sign him. They will certainly fancy their chances of convincing the player to join them instead of Everton.
If they can promise regular game time, the 19-year-old could be attracted to the idea of moving to the London club as well. He would be able to compete in the UEFA Champions League with them. Although Everton are an attractive destination as well, they are simply not at the level of Tottenham right now.
Spurs move could be ideal for Dibling as well
The North London club need more quality and depth in the wide areas, and the 19-year-old will add the pace, flair and unpredictability to the side. He has shown his quality in the Premier League, and he’s too good for the Championship. Returning to the top flight would be ideal for him. Dibling could cost around £40 million.
Regular football at Tottenham could bring out the best in him. Thomas Frank has done well to groom talented young players at Brentford, and he could play a hero role in the development of the Englishman as well.
