Tottenham Hotspur have identified a Premier League star as their top January target, and they are willing to spend big on him when the transfer window opens in January.
Even though we are still a month and a half away from the start of the January window, speculation has already gone into hyperdrive regarding who the Lilywhites’ top targets are.
Over recent weeks, several outlets have said that signing a striker and a winger are Thomas Frank’s top priorities in January.
Just a few days ago, it was reported that following Morgan Rogers’ decision to sign a new contract, Tottenham are ready to turn their attentions to an Everton star, and there has now been a big update regarding the player in question.
The previously reported information has now been backed up by Fichajes, who say that Iliman Ndiaye has now emerged as Tottenham’s ‘priority’ target in January following the Rogers contract development.
The report says that Spurs have ‘launched a significant offensive’ on the Everton man, and are determined to move quickly to land the player.
This is because Ndiaye’s versatility and his profile make him the perfect fit for Frank’s system, and the Lilywhites want to avoid falling behind in the transfer race.

As a result, Tottenham have ‘already made initial contact’ regarding a deal for the 25-year-old and are now ‘considering a substantial offer’ for the player.
Spurs could break their transfer record on Ndiaye
Fichajes say that Tottenham have to break the bank to land the Senegal international, who is thought to be valued at around £60m-£70m.
That could make him the North London club’s most expensive signing, beating the £65m they paid to land Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in the summer of 2024.
The outlet also says that getting Ndiaye out of Everton will not be easy, with Frank’s men having work to do to convince the wide-forward about a move to N17 and to overcome the competition for his signature.
