Tottenham Hotspur were interested in signing Manchester City attacker Savinho during the summer transfer window.

However, Manchester City decided against selling him. So far, the Brazilian has not had regular opportunities and a report from TEAMtalk claims that Tottenham could make a new attempt in January. The report claims that Tottenham will iron out their transfer plans for the January window over the next week.

Tottenham set to spend in January

A budget of around £100 million has been made available, and it will be interesting to see if they can bring in the right addition. They could use more quality and depth on the flanks. The Brazilian would be a quality addition. He has shown his quality during his cameo with Manchester City and in the La Liga before the move to England.

He will add pace, flair, and unpredictability to the Tottenham attack. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Savinho would improve Spurs

The Brazilian is highly rated across Europe, and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has previously claimed that he is “on the precipice of being world class”. It will be interesting to see if Manchester City are willing to sell him in January.

There is no doubt that he would be an excellent addition for Tottenham, and they could groom him into a key player. He needs regular opportunities, and the north London club can provide them.

With the World Cup next summer, the Brazilian will look to cement his place on the national team. He needs to play regularly for that to happen. The move to Tottenham would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen whether he decides to force an exit in January.
