Some Spurs players will be relieved after hearing who will be officiating Tottenham’s clash against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Tottenham Hotspur travel to Newcastle, desperate for a win, with many already calling for Thomas Frank to be sacked by the North London club.
Former Tottenham captain Michael Dawson has urged the club and the fans to give Frank time to build a foundation at Spurs.
However, the Tottenham head coach has seen fan sentiment turn against him decisively after his recent comments, and he desperately needs a win to inject some belief back into this project.
Tom Bramall will be the referee for Newcastle v Tottenham
The Premier League have confirmed that Tom Bramall will officiate Spurs’ clash at St James’ Park, while Lee Betts and Mat Wilkes will be the assistants.
Tony Harrington has been named as the fourth official, while VAR will be supervised by Paul Howard, who will be assisted by Adam Nunn.
Harrington is a relatively inexperienced Premier League official, and according to Transfermarkt, he has only officiated three Spurs games before this one.

One of those was Tottenham’s 2-1 win at Elland Road earlier this season, with the other two being Spurs’ 5-1 defeat at home to Liverpool last season and a FA Cup tie against Portsmouth in the 2022-23 season, which the Lilywhites emerged 1-0 winners.
Four Spurs players will be pleased with Bramall’s card record
Cristian Romero is back from suspension after serving his one-match ban against Fulham for picking up five yellow cards.
Ahead of the clash against Fulham, we revealed that Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha and Kevin Danso were on three yellow cards each, and they have now been joined on three bookings by Micky van de Ven, who was cautioned against the Cottagers.
That means that all four players are now two yellows away from a suspension.
They will be happy to hear that Bramall has only shown five yellow cards to Tottenham players across his three matches, which indicates he is not quick to go to his notebook.
