Tottenham Hotspur have come up with a plan regarding Luka Vuskovic, whose performances at Hamburg have not gone unnoticed across Europe.

While there was plenty of excitement about the Croat at Spurs before the start of this season, the way he has performed in Germany would have surprised everyone at North London.

Based on performance metrics, Vuskovic has been among the best centre-backs in Europe’s top five leagues this season.

The Spurs man has won two back-to-back Bundesliga Rookie of the Month awards, and his displays have got Tottenham fans very excited about what the future holds.

Tottenham plan to hold Luka Vuskovic talks very soon

A report in Hamburger Morgenpost (as relayed by Sport Witness) has claimed that the defender’s impressive development at Hamburg have not gone unnoticed at Tottenham.

The outlet rubbishes suggestions that Spurs want to extend his contract, pointing out that the Lilywhites are happy with Vuskovic’s current deal, which runs until 2030.

However, the Premier League side will have a meeting with the Croatian international over the coming weeks.

The purpose of the meeting will be for the player to understand Thomas Frank and Tottenham’s long-term plan for him.

Vuskovic is generating plenty of transfer interest

Hamburger Morgenpost say that the centre-back’s displays at the Volksparkstadion have piqued the interest of several top clubs, who have launched ‘enquiries’ over the player.

This includes Barcelona, who are particularly keen on landing Vuskovic and are ‘seriously considering’ a move for him next summer.

The publication adds that Hamburg also want to re-sign the youngster on loan next season, but the Bundesliga club believe it is too early to start those talks right now.
