A couple of Tottenham stars had outings to forget on Thursday and one man’s performance, in particular, will concern Thomas Frank.
Some of Tottenham Hotspur’s attackers have not been firing on all cylinders at the start of the season.
In fact, some pundits feel that Spurs have been overreliant on Mohammed Kudus in attack so far this season, and it is hard to argue against that.
Tottenham’s top scorer from last season, Brennan Johnson, has also looked rusty, with the Wales winger losing his place in Thomas Frank’s starting eleven after scoring in the club’s two Premier League games of the season.
Tottenham will be concerned about Brennan Johnson’s struggles for Wales
Thomas Frank would have hoped that the former Nottingham Forest man would build up his confidence during the international break with some good performances for Wales, but that did not happen on Thursday.
The 24-year-old put in a disappointing showing against England at Wembley on Thursday, being completely ineffectual, with talkSPORT handing Johnson a rating of just two out of 10.
His Tottenham teammate, Ben Davies, did not fare better, also being handed the same match rating as the Three Lions emerged 3-0 winners.

However, in fairness to the Spurs duo, they were not the only ones to have poor outings for the Dragons, with over half their side earning a two out of 10 rating for their displays.
One Spurs star impressed at Wembley
While Tottenham’s Welsh duo had an evening to forget, Djed Spence impressed in his first start for England.
The 25-year-old played the majority of the game at left-back, coming up directly against Johnson, and he gave his Spurs teammate no joy down the Welsh right.
On the back of that performance, Spence will feel that he has gone a long way towards making himself a certainty for the World Cup squad.
