Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with a move for the Manchester City attacker Savinho.
The Brazilian has struggled for regular opportunities at the Premier League club, and he needs a fresh start. He is highly across Europe, and he could prove to be an excellent addition for Tottenham. They need more cutting-edge in the final third, and he could provide that.
He is capable of operating on either flank, and he will add goals and creativity to the side. Regular football at Spurs would be ideal for his development as well. Sitting on the bench at Manchester City does not benefit him.
Thomas Frank might be able to get the best out of the player.
Tottenham backed to close January deal
Keith Wyness has claimed on Football Insider that a deal might be possible in January. He expects Tottenham to get the signing done for €50 million.
“There are a lot of City fans complaining about him, et cetera, et cetera. But I do think he’s a quality player.
“I think a change of scenery would obviously do him the world of good. And I think it’ll give Spurs a chance to get a better deal with City.
“And I do expect something like this to happen in January. So I do expect probably a bit of not so much cut-price, but certainly lower than expected, maybe around a 50 million mark even with bonuses for a player of that quality.
“And I think a fresh start with Spurs under Thomas Frank with do him the world of good and with these Spurs, the world of good as well. So I expect that will happen. I think it’ll work for both parties.”
Can Spurs seal Savinho signing?
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward with an official proposal to get the deal done. They have the resources, and they need more quality if they want to do well this season. They have lost their way after an impressive start to the season, and they will look to bounce back strongly in the second half.
Signing the right players could help them finish in a respectable position and push for trophies.
