Tottenham Hotspur are set to reach out to a Premier League winger to find out whether he is keen on joining them in January.
It has been widely reported that signing a top-class winger is Spurs’ top priority during the January window.
However, with Tottenham expected to miss out on Antoine Semenyo, the club are thought to be eyeing other wide players.
Over recent days, it has been reported that Spurs could reignite their interest in the £70m-rated Savinho after missing out on the Brazilian in the summer, and it has now emerged that the Lilywhites have begun doing the groundwork.
Tottenham making fresh explorations for Savinho
According to TEAMtalk, the Lilywhites are now making a fresh approach to find out whether Savinho is genuinely interested in leaving Man City in January.
The North Londoners have been keeping an eye on how the winger has fitted in at City since their approach last summer, and they believe that a door could open during the upcoming transfer window.
Before Tottenham Hotspur attempt to formally test the waters with an offer for Savinho, they first want to find out if the 21-year-old is keen on a switch to N17.
