Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the AS Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the north London club, and a report from Football London claims that Tottenham are now facing a race against time to sign the player. It is no secret that they need more cutting-edge in the final third, and the French attacker could be ideal for them.

Maghnes Akliouche would be a superb addition

He can play on either flank and will add goals and creativity to the team. The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be tempting for the player as well. However, it will be difficult for Monaco to replace him this late in the window. It remains to be seen whether they are prepared to sanction his departure this month.

Meanwhile, manager Thomas Frank has confirmed that Tottenham will be active in the market and will look to improve the team if the right opportunity arises.

“We are active, no doubt about that. If something happens, let’s see,” said Frank about Tottenham’s deadline day plans.

Football London has also confirmed that Monaco are looking at potential replacements for their star attacker. It remains to be seen whether they can find a quality alternative.

Spurs need quality additions

Tottenham have had a disappointing season and will look to bounce back strongly in the second half of the campaign. They need quality players. Improving the attacking unit would be a wise decision. The 23-year-old has all the tools to develop into a top-class player with the right guidance, and he could be a star for Tottenham.

Tottenham have done well to bring in players like Souza and Conor Gallagher so far, but they should look to improve the attacking unit before the window closes. They have not been at their best going forward this season.
