Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a surprise move for the Bayern Munich attacker Serge Gnabry.
The 30-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season, and the German champions are hoping to agree on a new deal with him. The player is interested in staying at Bayern Munich and hopes to sort out an extension with them.
Tottenham have informed the player that they will wait for him if he fails to reach an agreement with the German champions.
Tottenham want Serge Gnabry
Falk said on CF Bayern Insider: “It is TRUE: Tottenham are also interested in Serge Gnabry. The forward is already in talks with Bayern Munich over signing a contract extension.”
He added: “There’s a two-year offer on the table, and it seems that he’s prepared to stay put at the Allianz Arena. Serge Gnabry has basically turned around and said, ‘No, I’m talking with Bayern Munich at the moment. Thanks for the interest, but if it works with Bayern, I’m going to stay.’
“Tottenham have signalled that if things don’t work out for them, they’re lying in wait.”
Spurs could use Gnabry
It is no secret that Tottenham need more quality in the final third. Signing a dynamic attacker like him would be a wise decision. He has played in the Premier League before and should be able to make an immediate impact if he joins the London outfit.
Gnabry has registered 15 goal contributions already this season. He has been a reliable performer for the German club over the years, and there is no doubt that he could transform Tottenham.
Tottenham fans will know all about the player, given his history with Arsenal. He also scored four goals against Tottenham back in 2019 during a match between Bayern Munich and the London club in the UEFA Champions League.
