Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche when the transfer window re-opens.
They have been heavily linked with the Manchester City attack, Savinho, but the Brazilian is expected to sign a new contract with the Premier League club. Tottenham have now turned their attention towards the French attacker, and it remains to be seen whether they can sign the 23-year-old in the coming months.
Akliouche is a tremendous talent with a bright future, and he could develop into a star for Tottenham with the right guidance. He will add pace, flair and unpredictability to the side.
Tottenham keen on Maghnes Akliouche
Dean Jones said on TEAMtalk: “Spurs have always had other players on their radar if they do not manage to sign Savinho, and scouting assignments will continue accordingly.
“One of the players I am told they have had eyes on from an attacking point of view is Maghnes Akliouche, and they will actually be very interested in seeing how he fares in an upcoming Champions League game against Man City.
“He’s played every minute for Monaco so far this season and plays off the right, but there is a belief he can also be versatile, and he has a very high ceiling in the game.
“Monaco rate him highly and would be putting a premium fee on his head if the interest steps up in the new year as they do not want to lose him.”
Can Spurs sign Akliouche?
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can negotiate a reasonable deal to sign him. Monaco are likely to demand a premium. If Tottenham can get the deal done, it could prove to be a solid long-term investment for them. The player is quite young, and he will only improve with coaching and experience. The deal could prove to be a bargain in the long run.
