Tottenham Hotspur have “taken note” of Brighton and Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh, according to Stretty News.
In the Premier League, Spurs endured a torrid season. The North London side lost 22 of their 38 matches, finishing 17th in the table. In truth, Tottenham only avoided a relegation battle due to the poor form of the three promoted sides, who finished directly beneath Spurs.
Pressure on Ange Postecoglou has risen throughout the campaign as a result of his side’s poor performances in the league and exits from the domestic cups. Postecoglou’s tenure relied solely on the Europa League for some time, in which the Australian guided Spurs to the final.
Spurs Like Minteh
Winger has impressed with Brighton
Stretty News have reported that Spurs are one of a number of clubs that have an interest in signing Yankuba Minteh. The Gambian international moved to Brighton in 2024, having spent the season prior on loan from Newcastle United to Feyenoord. With the Seagulls, Minteh has enjoyed a brilliant debut season in the Premier League.
At just 20 years old, Minteh has an immense amount of potential and it is no surprise that he has caught Spurs’ interest. By winning the Europa League, the Lilywhites have ensured that they will be playing Champions League football next season, which could be enough to incentivise Minteh, who has been dubbed "electric," into a move.
Should Spurs manage to sign Minteh, regardless of who is in charge of them next season, he would be a brilliant addition for the club.
