Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on the Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott, and it would not be a surprise if they decided to make a move for him.
The 22-year-old could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham. He is capable of operating centrally as well as on the flanks. He will add creativity and goals to the Tottenham side. They need more quality in that area of the pitch, especially after missing out on Eberechi Eze.
Spurs admire Elliott
Graeme Bailey has confirmed to TBR that Tottenham admire the Liverpool player, and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with the proposal to sign him. The young midfielder needs to play regularly as well, and leaving Liverpool would be ideal for him. Sitting on the bench at a big club is unlikely to benefit him at this stage of his career.
Bailey said: “Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott is another one they admire. Tottenham are working hard; they already know the market.”
Elliott would be a quality addition
He has shown his quality in the Premier League during his cameos with Liverpool, and he was outstanding for the England under-21s in the Euros earlier this summer. He was one of the best players in the tournament, and he will look to perform at a high level at the club level now.
If Tottenham can promise him regular football, the player could be attracted to the idea of joining them. It remains to be seen whether the north London outfit can secure an agreement with the Premier League champions.
