Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with the Brazilian attacker Savinho.

The South American is expected to leave Manchester City, especially after the arrival of Antoine Semenyo.

Tottenham remain keen on him, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. Keith Wyness has confirmed on Football Insider that Thomas Frank likes the Brazilian attacker, and he could be on the move soon.

Thomas Frank likes Savinho

Wyness said: “Yeah, I think they’ll sell. I think this is just a negotiating position from City saying that they want to keep him, and I think he will be gone.

“And I do expect he will. We’ve been talking about Spurs for a long time. I think he’ll be on that top three list of Spurs potential targets. I think Thomas Frank does quite like him.

“So I think, yes, I’d expect him to move and him to go as well in January.”

It is no secret that Tottenham need more cutting-edge in the final third, and the Brazilian could prove to be an exceptional long-term investment.

He will add goals and creativity to the site. His ability to take on defenders and beat them in one-versus-one situations will add unpredictability to the attacking unit as well.

Savinho needs a move

Savinho will be desperate to play regularly at this stage of his career. He has not been a guaranteed starter for Manchester City, and he is likely to fall further down the pecking order after the arrival of the Ghana international.

It would make sense for him to move on and join another club where he will play regularly. Tottenham could provide him with that platform.

The 21-year-old has been labelled as a player with “something special” by Pep Guardiola. Tottenham could unlock his true potential and help him develop into a top class player. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
