Tottenham Hotspur could look to make a move for Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.
The 24-year-old could be on his way out of the club in search of regular playing time, and Tottenham are one of the clubs keeping tabs on him. According to Fabrizio Romano, the North London outfit could look to make a move for the player if Richarlison leaves.
Jackson needs to leave
The Chelsea striker registered 19 goal contributions last season, and he needs to leave them in order to play regularly. They have signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. Jackson is likely to fall further down the pecking order next season. Spurs might be able to provide him with ample opportunities, and the move could be ideal for all parties.
Spurs move could be ideal for Nicolas Jackson
Tottenham need more quality and depth in the attacking unit, and the 24-year-old is well settled in the Premier League. He could make an instant impact if he joins the club. Joining Spurs would allow him to continue in London as well.
The player has been vocal about his admiration for Tottenham fans in the past. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can work out an agreement.
He said after a game via BBC Sport: “Tottenham have an amazing stadium and amazing fans, so we needed to fight and win the game.”
The 24-year-old is relatively young, and he could improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into an important player for Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are prepared to sell him for a reasonable amount of money.
Tottenham need to improve multiple areas of their squad, and they will not want to overpay for the Chelsea striker. Jackson could share the goalscoring burden with Dominic Solanke if he joins the club.
