Tottenham Hotspur are still working to strengthen their squad despite already completing six deals this summer, Ben Jacobs has revealed on GIVEMESPORT's Market Madness podcast.

Spurs have completed the free transfer signings of Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka, while the club signed Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton in a £52m deal, before breaking their transfer record twice in two days to sign Mateus Fernandes for £85m and Sandro Tonali for £100m.

But since that signing things have gone quiet in north London, and GMS's senior correspondent has now provided an update on where they currently stand.

Tottenham Eyeing Forward Additions

After strengthening their defence and midfield already, Spurs are now keen to add to their forward line in this transfer window on the back of two consecutive 17th-placed Premier League finishes.

Randal Kolo Muani has left after his loan spell, while the likes of Wilson Odobert, Dejan Kulusevski, and Xavi Simons are still recovering from knee injuries, and there are question marks over Richarlison's future.

Man City star Savinho has been identified as the top target for the attack, but speaking on the latest episode of the Market Madness podcast, Jacobs revealed he isn't the only player being looked at.

"Spurs fans are saying, 'Why are we so quiet?', because they were so busy," he said.

"But it's not a break your club transfer record every single day like they did in 24 hours from Mateus Fernandes to Sandro Tanali. But they're working their way up the field. It's fair to say so.

"The goalkeeper situation is sorted because Kinsky is extended, and Dubravka has arrived. Defenders have come in, midfielders have come in, and now Tottenham, as a priority, want a starting left-winger or attacker.

"Savinho talks [are] ongoing, but he's not the only target. Crysencio Summerville, Manchester United are there as well."

Spurs Must Make Summerville Decision Quickly

With Spurs taking a look at the situation involving the £30m-rated Netherlands international Summerville, who has been described as 'elite', they will be aware that they must be quick to get any deal done should they be serious about bringing him in.

Man Utd are known to have made him their top forward target depending on the future of Marcus Rashford, and it's been reported that Roma have held meetings with his representatives to find an agreement with West Ham.

Savinho is the main target, and a deal looks likely to accelerate in the coming days, but this isn't a deal to rule out, considering the Hammers' relegation last season, and it's one to watch.
