Tottenham are heavily pushing to bring in new midfielders during the summer transfer window, but they are also in the market for a new winger.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Tottenham strengthen all over the pitch during the summer transfer window after a disappointing two years, which have seen them finish 17th in the Premier League twice.

Spurs have already strengthened significantly in defensive positions, signing Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan-Paul van Hecke.

Tottenham are also pushing to bring in midfield reinforcements, with West Ham's Mateus Fernandes one of their key targets.

The North London club are also advancing with a deal to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali.

After bringing in new bodies in the middle of the park, attention could switch to the forward line.

Tottenham Eyeing New Winger

According to a report from journalist Geert Lambaerts, Tottenham are showing an interest in signing Royal Union Saint-Gilloise winger Anan Khalaili in the summer transfer window.

It's claimed that the Belgian club value Khalaili at around £22m, with Tottenham in the mix to secure his signature.

Spurs are set to face competition from Inter Milan, Napoli and Newcastle, while Union have already started looking for a replacement.

“The latest on Khalaili? We learned from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday that Inter has begun making contact with the club. Napoli has been interested in the player for weeks now. Inter could be a rival to Napoli for this player. Tottenham is still in the mix, and there’s also talk of Newcastle."

At the age of 21, Khalil is yet to reach his full potential, but he has already been described as 'one of the most exciting wingers'.

Tottenham strengthening all over the pitch

Tottenham appear to be willing to strengthen all over the pitch during the summer transfer window, and it's no surprise after their difficulties over the last few years.

There's no doubt De Zerbi only took the job knowing he was going to be backed in the market, especially if he wants to implement his style of play.

The Italian manager earned the right to be back in the market during the final weeks of last season, turning things around for the North London club.

Now it's all about heading in the right direction and starting to climb the table once again. They'll only have a chance of doing that if they bring in reinforcements over the coming weeks and months.
