Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the OGC Nice attacker Evann Guessand during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been linked with the move away from the French club, and former Premier League scout Mick Brown believes that Spurs are pretty hopeful of getting the deal done. It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him.

Brown said to Football Insider: “There’s been talk that Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce would like to sign him as well.

“My sources tell me the player himself is not overly keen on that move, so that will be positive news for his Premier League suitors.

“Looking at the interested clubs, Brighton, West Ham, Wolves…

“Tottenham I’m sure would be pretty hopeful that, if they do follow up their interest, that they could win the race for his services.”

Tottenham need attacking depth

Guessand had 23 goal contributions last season, and he is capable of slotting into multiple attacking roles. He could be the ideal utility man for Tottenham. They need more depth in the final third, and the African certainly fits the profile.

He possesses the physicality and technical attributes necessary to excel in English football, and he could be a key player for Tottenham. He could be available for just £20-25 million. The player could prove to be a bargain at that price. Tottenham have the resources to get the deal across the line, and they should look to wrap up the move quickly.

Evann Guessand could fancy a Spurs move

The opportunity to move to the Premier League can be quite exciting for any player, and the 24-year-old will be attracted to the idea of moving to Tottenham. They could provide him with a platform to fight for trophies and compete in the Champions League next season.

Tottenham need quality players to do well next year, and Thomas Frank might be able to get the best out of the African forward. If he manages to hit the ground in England, he could prove to be a bargain for Spurs.
