Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed strong concerns over sporting director Johan Lange’s involvement in contract talks with Luka Vuskovic.
Luka Vuskovic’s future has been the subject of intense discussion in recent months, with the defender currently out on loan at Hamburg in the Bundesliga.
The centre-back has impressed for the newly promoted side, with statistics showing that Vuskovic has been one of the best centre-backs in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
As such, interest in the on-loan Spurs star has been on the rise, with several sides in Spain and Germany keen on landing the 19-year-old Croat.
Tottenham move to secure Luka Vuskovic future as Johan Lange visits
Spurs Web believes that Luka Vuskovic could be key for Tottenham next season, regardless of the division they find themselves in, as they eye a rebuild.
Tottenham are well aware of the teenager’s talent, and fresh reports now claim that efforts have been made by Spurs to secure his future.
It has since been revealed that Tottenham are ready to offer Vuskovic a bumper new contract, with Spurs director of football Johan Lange travelling to Hamburg recently to speak with the player about his future in north London.

That is positive news for the Lilywhites, but fans are far from convinced about the club finding any success in landing a deal with the teenager, given the involvement of sporting director Johan Lange.
Taking to X to express their concerns, one fan said: “Johan Lange needs to back the F off and do not destroy anything more of this club. Enough is enough. Go back to Copenhagen and the Superliga.”
Another supporter added: “This would have hit so much harder if Lange was not mentioned,” while a third commented: “The first thing this club needs to do is f**k Lange off out of it.”
A fourth fan believed that Vuskovic will be key to a rebuild, stating: “Bring in Senesi, bring back Vuskovic and sell Romero to invest in the attack. Job done.”
Another added: “If Lange has spoken to him then we will probably lose him,” while one more opined: “If Lange went it means the lad is probably signing for someone else,” and a final supporter stated: “Lange could not build an IKEA garden set, let alone a squad that can challenge for Europe – get that clown out.”
Spurs recruitment concerns grow amid Johan Lange criticism
It is clear from the comments from Tottenham fans that many have lost faith in the club’s recruitment team.
The reaction towards Johan Lange is in stark contrast to what it was when Fabio Paratici was in charge, with many supporters speaking fondly of his recruitment. It is not hard to see why, as many of Paratici’s signings still form the current spine of this Tottenham team.
Spurs Web have reported on Spurs’ continued interest in securing the services of another sporting director as they look to operate with a two-director model.
Several names have been on their radar, including Sebastian Kehl, Dougie Freedman and Paul Winstanley, yet no agreement has been reached with any.
