Despite being retired, many Spurs fans couldn’t help but wonder if the 37-year-old could still do a job for the current team.

Another added: “Genuinely walks into our current side. Watching him play today was more exciting than watching any of our current wingers this season (bar Mikey Moore). Will always be a fan favourite.”
One supporter reminisced about his ability to get fans on their feet: “When he got the ball, he’d get you off your seat. He’d go past players as if they weren’t there. Amazing player.”
Another simply stated: “Would be our best winger still rn.”
One fan summed it up perfectly: “Still remember him coming off the bench for his debut. Knew he was special within minutes. Top player.”
Lennon’s impact and legacy at Spurs
Without doubt, Lennon was a special player for Tottenham Hotspur. In his debut season, he made 29 appearances, was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year, and earned a spot in England’s World Cup squad.
He was also part of the last Tottenham team to lift a trophy in 2008, and his goal against Arsenal in the famous 5-1 League Cup semi-final second leg remains iconic.
A truly gifted winger, Lennon’s pace and dribbling ability made him a nightmare for defenders, and it’s no surprise Spurs fans still hold him in such high regard.
