Cristian Romero has earned a lot of favour with Tottenham Hotspur supporters for his performance against Newcastle and this is especially true due to what he did after scoring his goals.
Cristian Romero reached an all-time high at Tottenham Hotspur when after a trying season full of injuries, he captained his team to victory in the Europa League final.
However, the past few months have largely been disappointing for the Argentina international, who has looked less reliable at the heart of the Spurs defence.
This was not the case on Tuesday night as Romero scored a header and an overhead kick to give Tottenham a first Premier League point since the Manchester United game.

Romero has a reputation for his fiery personality and this can sometimes land him in trouble. In fact, the central defender was booked against Newcastle immediately after returning from a one-match suspension for picking up five yellow cards.
Despite this, he managed to channel his emotions later in the game and produce a moment which delighted the visiting supporters.

When Romero equalised for Spurs, he faced the Newcastle fans and performed Bruno Guimaraes’ goal celebration. The Brazilian had already used the celebration himself earlier in the match, but perhaps in a premature manner.
This is not the first celebration incident involving Spurs
Tottenham supporters may remember a match almost two years ago when Brentford’s Neal Maupay copied the iconic darts celebration of James Maddison.
The aftermath of this occurrence saw the pair exchange words, with Maddison poking fun at Maupay’s poor goalscoring record before the striker offered his own taunt.
It was Maddison who walked away smiling that day as Spurs claimed a 3-2 victory and Romero will be feeling pleased with himself too after rescuing his team from the jaws of defeat.
