Tottenham fans have struggled to back some players to the maximum over the years.
Spurs supporters have little to complain about this season.
Mohammed Kudus netted his first goal for Tottenham in their most recent victory over Leeds United. Meanwhile, the Lilywhites have been one of the best defensive sides in the Premier League this season, conceding just five goals in seven games.
The international break reflects this, and Thomas Frank is without 16 Tottenham players who have been called up this October. However, fans have not been happy with all their players.
Tottenham fans blasted for Guglielmo Vicario treatment
Guglielmo Vicario was linked with an exit from Tottenham over the summer, despite being one of the biggest reasons Spurs lifted the UEFA Europa League.

Fans have been disappointed with Vicario’s lacklustre performances for Tottenham this season, with a few likely hoping a departure did materialise. As a result, there has been a growing demand to see Antonin Kinsky take his place.
However, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the Italian keeper is simply the latest scapegoat for Spurs supporters.
“If you’re a goalkeeper and if you make a mistake, the spotlight is obviously on you more than in any position across the pitch, because it normally leads to a goal,” Wenham said.
“But people just erase from their minds that Kinsky was given a little run towards the end of last season against Aston Villa in the FA Cup, and with 30 seconds on the clock, he just threw the ball into the goal.
“Vicario has never, ever made a mistake of that level. So, the moaning about him immediately it’s just strange, and it’s just people moving on to their next target.”
How has Guglielmo Vicario really performed for Tottenham this season?
Despite what some Tottenham fans believe, Vicario has been solid in the Premier League, according to Sofascore.
He has conceded just 0.7 per game this season, with five goals slipping into his net thus far.
Eighteen of those saves were from inside the box, while six were outside saves. Not too bad for a player some fans want to see replaced either this season or the next.
Therefore, while Vicario is prone to the odd error or two, he has been solid for the Lilywhites this season.
