Everton take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday and there may already be some concerns ahead of the game.
David Moyes has seen his side pick up just one win since August in the Premier League after beating Crystal Palace at home.
However, it has not exactly been smooth sailing for Thomas Frank’s Spurs who have found themselves lacking any real consistency.
Tottenham were missing Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie again on Wednesday night against Monaco in the Champions League.
Everton are also suffering their own injury issues, with Jarrad Branthwaite sustaining another injury setback which will see him out for even more time.
Three points separate the two sides in the Premier League, but it is the fans of the Champions League outfit who are concerned ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Tottenham fans already worried about Everton duo
Everton fully backed Moyes in the transfer window to strengthen the quality and depth of his squad for this season.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
There have already been some standout performers in the opening eight games of the term, but two have stood out from the crowd.
After watching their side struggle against a depleted Monaco outfit, some Tottenham fans shared their concerns about Sunday’s game over social media.
With Archie Gray starting at left-back on Wednesday, one Spurs fan said: ‘Ndiaye licking his lips’. Another fan is already predicting an Everton win: ‘I feel a repeat of last season when we faced them.’
Clearly, there is not much optimism towards Tottenham’s full-backs as another fan said: ‘Grealish will be licking his lips.’ Whilst another also added: ‘Grealish will turn Porro upside down’.
Although Spurs are going into the game in sixth spot of the table, their fans are clearly uninspired with what they’ve seen.
One fan has been left far from optimistic ahead of Sunday, saying: ‘Got a very bad feeling about this.’ Whilst another is already sharing their concerns about the recently-appointed Frank, they said: ‘Scared for Frank.’
Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish will cause Tottenham issues
Eden Hazard has been so impressed with Grealish’s dribbling this season in an Everton shirt.
The 30-year-old has been leading the way in the Premier League with the most chances created and five goal contributions.
Between Gray and Pedro Porro, on Wednesday night, the two Spurs full-backs only made one tackle in the 90 minutes of Champions League action.
Monaco’s creative spark Maghnes Akliouche enjoyed a field day against Tottenham’s makeshift backline.
Iliman Ndiaye has been backed to play at the very top level after another impressive display at the weekend against Manchester City.
Both the Senegal international and Grealish have a big opportunity to really get at Tottenham’s defence this weekend.
