Tottenham Hotspur fans have now made their feelings clear in the debate between Guglielmo Vicario and Antonin Kinsky following the latest outing against Leeds United.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to take advantage of the two favours their fiercest rivals Arsenal did for them on Sunday evening when they beat West Ham United 1-0 at the London Stadium.

That victory over the Hammers meant Tottenham would have gone four points clear with two games left to play had they beaten Leeds United in their own clash.

However, Spurs let that golden opportunity slip, instead drawing with Daniel Farke’s side and remaining just two points clear of the drop zone.

Tottenham fans choose Antonin Kinsky over Guglielmo Vicario after Leeds draw

Nonetheless, the result from Monday’s encounter could have been far worse for Tottenham had Antonin Kinsky not produced some world-class saves.

The Czech international made two game-saving stops against Leeds, pulling off one excellent save in the first half before denying the visitors again in the dying moments of the second half.

According to the statistics, of the 2.59 xGOT he faced, he prevented 1.59 – a remarkable display from the young goalkeeper, especially considering his struggles earlier this season, with the nightmare outing in Madrid, where he was substituted after 15 minutes following two costly errors, still fresh in the memory.

Regardless, Spurs fans believe Kinsky remains their best option in goal for the final two games of the season.

Asked whether Guglielmo Vicario should return, one fan said, “Why is this even a question? We would’ve lost today for sure if Vicario was in goal. Kinsky has been a game-changer for us.”

Another supporter added, “That’s not even worth debating at this stage. He’s been unreal since he’s come back in. Deserves so much credit.”

A third fan commented: “Kinsky is the number one now. No question. The defence look comfortable playing with him. Vicario has been a liability since he joined. Occasionally a good shot-stopper, terrible with his feet, crosses, and positioning. No question.”

Another fan believes Vicario has played his last game for Tottenham, writing: “Absolutely. Vicario has already played his last game in a Spurs shirt.”

A final supporter said: “Absolutely, to be honest it is a bit of a silly question. Kinsky has made some vital saves at Wolves and now Leeds. If it were not for him we would be level with West Ham on 36 points with two games left. So yes, Kinsky has to play.”

Spurs could face major goalkeeping decision this summer

Tottenham fans are not wrong in their assessment of the Czech international, who has been superb since coming in following Vicario’s hernia surgery.

Kinsky has produced several crucial saves since becoming Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeper, including an excellent stop against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the closing stages of that game a few weeks ago.
