Tottenham fans now face a nervous few days after Enzo Maresca made an admission about Mohammed Kudus amidst reports that Chelsea are looking to hijack Spurs’ move for the West Ham star.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Tottenham had an advantage over Chelsea in the race for Mohammed Kudus.
This was because the Blues could only afford a part-exchange deal due to their PSR situation while Spurs are willing to offer a straight cash deal, which is what West Ham prefer.
However, the Lilywhites have not been able to wrap up a deal for the winger, with Tottenham seeing two offers rejected for Kudus, with their bids having fallen short of the fee West Ham are demanding.
Over the last 24 hours, reports have indicated that Spurs are concerned that Chelsea will hijack their deal for Kudus, and the Blues manager’s comments will only make the North London club even more nervous.
Enzo Marseca admits he knows Mohammed Kudus well
Spurs Web has already relayed the information provided by journalist Simon Phillips on his Patreon claiming that Chelsea are now locked in negotiations with the Hammers for the Ghana international.
Phillips added that the West London club have to move fast to wrap up the deal as Tottenham are accelerating their efforts to land the Ghana international.

Enzo Mareseca has now been directly asked about Kudus, and not only did he refuse to rule out his signing, but the Spaniard revealed that he has known the winger since his Ajax days.
When asked about the rumours linking Kudus with a move to Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea boss said (via Nizaar Kinsella): “Mohammed is a West Ham player, he is not our player so I can’t say nothing. Only thing I can say is I know Kudus since Ajax.”
Why Tottenham are in serious danger of missing out on Kudus
No player has left the Hammers to join Spurs for the past 14 years, with Scott Parker being the last player to make the move back in 2011.
We know that West Ham have reluctantly decided to negotiate with Tottenham for Kudus, due to their desperate PSR situation, despite the possibility of a potential supporter backlash.
