Tottenham Hotspur are back to square one after being snubbed by Eberechi Eze, and a new report has now shed light on the other names currently on the club’s wishlist as they try to rescue their transfer window.
Since Arsenal hijacked Tottenham’s move for Eze last evening, the anger from Spurs fans on social media has been unlike anything we have seen before in the ENIC era.
It appears that failing to get the Eze deal over the line is the straw that broke the camel’s back, with Spurs fans demanding answers from Daniel Levy and many calling for the Tottenham chairman to depart.
The Spurs hierarchy and Levy will have to pull off a couple of huge surprises in the final 10 days of the transfer window if they are to save face and appease the supporters.
Tottenham still eyeing Savinho and two other players
The Times have now revealed where Tottenham Hotspur now stand with respect to other alternatives after facing defeat in their pursuit of Eze.
The outlet claims that while the Lilywhites were interested in Savinho, they did not want to pay Manchester City’s £67m valuation of the winger.
The report confirms what we have heard from other sources by revealing that Aston Villa’s Morgan Rodgers is also on the club’s radar.

Interestingly, the publication adds that Tottenham are also monitoring Yoane Wissa, but he is expected to join Newcastle United.
Deal for Morgan Rogers will be complicated for Spurs
It has also been reported by Fabrizio Romano that the Aston Villa attacker is on the Lilywhites’ wishlist.
The Italian journalist even alleges that Rogers is Tottenham’s dream signing, with the club believing that he will be the perfect fit for Thomas Frank’s set-up.
However, Romano added that industry sources believe it will be very difficult to prise the 23-year-old away from Villa Park, with some of the opinion that it will be nearly impossible to do so.
