Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The player is reportedly on the radar of clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. German champions Bayern Munich were keeping tabs on him as well. However, they have decided to abandon their pursuit of the England international, as per Bayern Insider.

The decision from the German club will certainly come as a major boost for Tottenham, and they will now look to get the deal done. They will have to pay £68 million to sign the player.

Eberechi Eze would improve Spurs

Eze has been exceptional for Palace this past season, and he has 14 goals to his name. He has picked up 11 assists as well. He was instrumental in their FA Cup win over Manchester City.

There is no doubt that he has the quality to play for a bigger club like Tottenham, and he could be an exceptional acquisition. He is capable of operating centrally as well as on the flanks. He will add goals and creativity to the side. His ability to take on defenders and beat them in one-versus-one situations will add unpredictability to their attacking unit as well.

The player is well settled in the Premier League, and he could make an instant impact at Tottenham if he joins the club. It will be interesting to see if the North London outfit are prepared to pay up. The asking price is quite steep, and Tottenham need to bring in multiple players this summer.

Spurs move could be tempting

Meanwhile, the opportunity to join Tottenham will be exciting for the player.

He will be able to compete in the UEFA Champions League with them next season. They have a talented squad and they could be fighting for trophies in future. Eze will certainly fancy being a part of their project.

It would be a major step up in his career, and he would get to compete at a higher level.
