Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of bringing Eberechi Eze to Tottenham have received a major boost after a new report shed light on what the attacking midfielder is thinking about his summer plans.

A number of publications have installed Tottenham as the front-runners to sign Eberechi Eze this summer, but getting the deal over the line will be easier said than done.

Eze has also emerged as a target for Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s men allegedly eyeing the 26-year-old as the man to replace Kevin De Bruyne this summer.

It was even claimed two weeks ago that Spurs were ready to submit their opening offer for Eze, with the Lilywhites wanting to get a head start over the competition for the Crystal Palace star.

Will Crystal Palace’s FA Cup win impact Eze’s decision?

Eze was the hero for the Eagles at Wembley two weeks ago, scoring the goal that won the South London club their first-ever major trophy in their history.

Palace would have thought that the cup win would have boosted their chances of keeping the former QPR man but that is not the case, according to a new report in Football Insider.

The outlet says that the cup win and the Europa League qualification that comes with it are not likely to have an impact on Eze’s decision.

MORE SPURS STORIES

It is asserted that Eberechi Eze is unlikely to pull a U-turn on his future and is continuing to attract interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Man City and Man United.

Tottenham do not want to pay Eberechi Eze’s release clause

Football Insider also confirm what we have heard from other sources by revealing that the Palace man’s contract has a £68m release clause.

However, the report claims that Tottenham are planning to offer below that figure in their initial negotiations over Eberechi Eze this summer.
