Tottenham have been handed the perfect chance to beat Manchester United to one player who would be perfect for Roberto De Zerbi.
It's going to be incredibly difficult for Tottenham to plan for the summer transfer window at the moment due to their uncertainty in the Premier League.
Spurs stand a significant chance of being relegated to the Championship as they sit in the relegation zone with five games to play, and they could be four points adrift by Monday night.
As a result, it's difficult for Tottenham to identify targets, as it's not going to be easy for them to convince top-level players to join if they are in the second tier.
There were encouraging signs in the draw against Brighton at the weekend, but ultimately, they needed all three points.
Tottenham Handed Perfect Alex Scott Chance
Speaking after scoring against Tottenham's rivals Arsenal, Bournemouth midfielder Scott revealed how he is a Spurs fan, and it was a 'dream' for him to score against the Gunners.
"Yes, I support Tottenham, though that doesn't have much to do with today. But growing up as a kid, it was definitely a dream for me [to score against Arsenal]. Bournemouth are my team at the minute but I was a Tottenham fan growing up, so as a kid growing up, I would have been really happy with that."
The English midfielder, described as being 'technically one of the best', also confirmed that his dad was also a Tottenham fan.
"My dad's Tottenham, yes. A few of my friends were here today and they enjoyed the game as well. So, yes, it's nice to have everyone here today too."
With that being said, it surely makes too much sense for Tottenham to make a move in the summer transfer window.
They might need to remain in the Premier League for it to be possible, but he would be perfect for De Zerbi and an incredibly strong addition in the middle of the park.
Man Utd Interested in Alex Scott
According to reports, Manchester United are interested in signing Scott ahead of the summer transfer window.
Tottenham might hope that they hold the advantage in the race due to Scott supporting the club, but it all depends how he sees his next move.
There's no doubt Scott would jump at the chance of joining Spurs if they were competing for titles and in Europe, but they are currently in a relegation battle.
If Spurs survive, they might have the chance to beat United to his signature, but there's a strong possibility that Michael Carrick's side will be playing in the Champions League next season.
Either way, it's worth Tottenham asking the question if they avoid the drop.
