A new report has shed light on what Tottenham Hotspur think about their chances of landing Savinho amidst Manchester City’s reluctance to sell the winger.
There was an expectation among some that the negotiations between Man City and Tottenham for Savinho may speed up after the two sides meet in the Premier League, and there are now signs of that happening.
Fabrizio Romano revealed on Sunday morning that Spurs are willing to bid upwards of £60.6m for Savinho, who remains keen on a move to N17.
Romano backed Tottenham to ‘try until the end’ to land the Brazilian, but the reports coming out of the Etihad suggest that City are reluctant to let Savinho leave.
What Tottenham are thinking about Savinho deal
After already missing out on a couple of their high-profile targets this summer, Tottenham will be keen to get this deal over the line.
Journalist Graeme Bailey has now revealed that the deal will not be easy for Spurs to do, but insists that the Lilywhites believe that it is still possible.
Bailey told TBR Football: “I am told that Spurs are trying again for Savinho as they know the player wants to join them.

“We have less than two weeks left, so this is not easy to do, but they are going to keep trying for a few days. Spurs think it is possible! We need to keep an eye on Rodrygo if Savinho goes to Tottenham. City are keeping tabs on that.”
Why Tottenham need to break the bank for Savinho
So far this summer, Spurs have failed to offer their new head coach the backing he needs, having missed out on both Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze.
Some sources have said that Thomas Frank is in love with Savinho and sees him as the perfect fit for his Tottenham set-up.
That is why Daniel Levy needs to do whatever it takes to get this deal over the line, even if it means paying over the odds for the 21-year-old.
