Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for the Manchester City attacker Savinho in recent days.

They are hoping to sign the 21-year-old Brazilian attacker, and they had an offer rejected for him.

Apparently, Tottenham have offered €50 million to sign the player, but Manchester City are holding out for €80 million. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to come back with an improved offer. They do not have a history of overpaying for players, and Daniel Levy will not want to pay over the odds.

Manchester City might have to be reasonable with their demands in order for the move to go through.

Tottenham’s offer has been rejected

Jorge Nicola has confirmed on YouTube: “Manchester City is setting a very high price to sell Savinho. The 21-year-old Brazilian forward will only leave Manchester City for €80 million or 506 million reais.”

“According to the player’s agent, the €50 million offer from Tottenham was already rejected. This information was given to me by Savinho’s agent, Frederico Moraes, with whom I spoke before recording this video.

“Atlético Mineiro is closely watching this deal as it owns 1.7% of any transaction involving Savinho through the solidarity mechanism. If this €80 million or 506 million reais deal is confirmed, Atlético will pocket 8.6 million reais, which is roughly half of one Atlético payroll.”

Spurs move would be ideal for Savinho

The 21-year-old attacker needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and the move to Tottenham would be ideal for him. Manchester City have enough depth in the attacking unit, and they might not be able to offer. Savinho will certainly hope to complete the transfer quickly and focus on his football.

Meanwhile, Tottenham need more depth in the attacking unit as well, and the Brazilian would be an exceptional acquisition. He will add pace, flair, and unpredictability to the side. He is young enough to improve further, and he could develop into a future star for them.
