Tottenham and Leeds are among the clubs circling one of Ligue 1’s most in-demand forwards this summer, with Jose Mourinho also pushing hard to win the race.
Tottenham Hotspur have been monitoring Nice forward Evann Guessand for some time now, with Spurs’ interest dating back to the winter transfer window.
Of course, Tottenham’s interest back then was very much understandable, as the Lilywhites were dealing with an injury crisis, which had both Richarlison and Dominic Solanke sidelined.
However, Spurs did not make a move for the 23-year-old then, instead opting to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich on loan, but Tel’s signing has now been made permanent on 15 June.
Evann Guessand impressed last campaign, with the versatile forward, capable of playing across the frontline, scoring 13 goals and assisting 10 times in all competitions after making 42 appearances.
His standout performances from the 2024/25 season have now made him one of the most sought-after forwards this summer, that is according to TBR Football, who report that a host of Premier League sides are keen on the 23-year-old.
Tottenham are one of such sides, and it is believed that Spurs, alongside Leeds United, West Ham United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all made contact with the player’s representatives to determine his current situation.

However, Premier League teams are not the only ones interested in signing Guessand, who is open to a move to England, but is said to prefer Turkey instead.
It is claimed that the Ivory Coast international has held talks with former Tottenham boss and current head coach of Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho.
The Turkish side are said to be in the market for a forward following Edin Dzeko’s move back to Italy, and Guessand has emerged as one of the options for them.
It is claimed that Mourinho has spoken with the player, and with English Premier League clubs interested, the forward has a decision to make in the coming weeks.
