Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the PSG attacker Kang-in Lee.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from PSG. This summer and Tottenham have held talks to bring him to the club. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

According to Football Transfers, Daniel Levy wants to sign the player for more than one reason. Apart from his quality as a footballer, the commercial appeal makes him an ideal target as well. Tottenham have already sanctioned the departure of Son Heung-min, and Lee could be their next Asian superstar.

Spurs eyeing PSG star

Duncan Castles revealed on Football Transfers: “Another player that they’ve [Tottenham] definitely had talks over signings is Lee Kang-in at Paris Saint-Germain. This dates back to earlier in the summer – conversations asking about what the cost would be to extract him from PSG, where he was one of the bench players last season.

“He is one of the players in PSG’s squad they are happy to retain, but they are conscious that if the player receives an offer that is appealing and the financial terms of the transfer fee are correct, they would be ready to sell assuming they have enough time to buy a replacement.

“You can understand why Daniel Levy is interested in signing Lee, having allowed Son Heung-min to move to LAFC. That was a significant commercial loss in terms of interest they built up among Koreans.”

Kang-in Lee needs a fresh start

The 24-year-old needs more game time, and a move away from PSG would be ideal for him. Tottenham will be able to provide him with more opportunities.

Meanwhile, the North London club require quality reinforcements as well. James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are sidelined with injuries, and Spurs need to fill that void. The South Korean attacker could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition. He is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he could prove to be the ideal addition.

The 24-year-old has the physicality and technical attributes to adapt to English football, and he could be a key player for Tottenham if he joins the club. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham follow up on their interest with an official offer to get the deal done.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be quite exciting for the player, especially if Tottenham are prepared to provide him with regular gametime.

The attacker will add pace, flair, and unpredictability to the side. His winning experience could be invaluable as well. He has recently won the league title and the UEFA Champions League with PSG.
