Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has hired the Altius8 agency, founded by former Manchester United executives who oversaw huge profits at Old Trafford.
The group, led by former United commercial star Victoria Timpson, consists of many former leading members of the club's executive team, who left after Sir Jim Ratcliffe's cost-cutting measures began to take shape.
Since his INEOS group acquired a 27.7 per cent stake in the Red Devils in February 2024, Ratcliffe has made the headlines for implementing a series of brutal money-saving tactics.
This has included hundreds of redundancies, and the closure of the staff canteen.
Last summer, United made over 250 employees redundant across all departments, with a further 100 job cuts being made in February.
And while the commercial executives in question may not have fallen victim to Ratcliffe's huge staff clear-out, they have now opted for pastures new at a Premier League rival.
According to the Telegraph, as well as Timpson, ex-United directors Ali Edge and Florence Lafaye have taken up roles at Altius8, having previously been among the leading women in the club's executive team.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils' former commercial head of data and strategy, Tom Liston-Jones is also included in the group.
The agency has agreed a deal with Spurs chairman Levy with the aim for the team to have the same impact on his club's revenues as they did at United.
While not public figures, the likes of Timpson, Edge and Lafaye were responsible for driving major deals during their time at Old Trafford.
They were behind United's kit deals with the likes of TeamViewer and Snapdragon, which in turn helped to finance the recruitment of a string of managers.
Timpson left the English giants last summer after 16 years, having most recently worked as their chief executive of global alliances and partnerships.
She led the club's central London office in pushing up commercial revenues, doing so by 17 per cent in her final year in the job.
United's commercial director, Lafaye, then briefly succeeded Timpson, before also leaving the club after 13 years in April.
Meanwhile, Edge spent 29 years working for the Red Devils, a longer stint than legendary former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Most recently a director in Timpson's department, she was chiefly responsible for retaining commercial deals.
And along with Liston-Jones, Altius8 will now look to use their expertise at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the newly-formed group believed to be set to oversee a range of sponsorship assets.
Conversely, this could well include securing a naming rights deal for Spurs' new stadium.
While the £1.2 billion venue opened in April 2019, it has remained with any brand association during since then.
Despite this, talkSPORT recently reported that a Saudi Arabian entity were frontrunners for the 62,850-capacity ground to bear their name.
Tottenham's recruitment of a team headed up by Timpson is yet another signal intent from Levy, who earlier this summer announced the appointment of chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.
Prior to his arrival in N17, Venkatesham had spent 14 years at bitter rivals Arsenal, namely working as their CEO.
Between them, both Venkatesham and their new-look commercial team will look to propel Spurs both on and off the pitch, with Timpson previously helping to seal huge profits at United.
She and her team secured the Red Devils' shirt-front deal Snapdragon for three years in September 2023, which was renewed last August, agreeing a deal with parent company Qualcomm for £60million annually.
Meanwhile, Timpson also oversaw the club's previous main shirt sponsor, TeamViewer, during the COVID lockdown, which was worth £235m over five years.
