Son Heung-min has made a major decision on his future at Tottenham.
Son will be remembered as a Tottenham legend, but he has been linked with a departure this summer.
The South Korean has spent the past couple of seasons at Spurs looking like a shadow of the player he once was. Long gone are the days when he would blitz past defenders on the wing with no more than a second glance.
And Spurs supporters have now received an update on Son’s future with talks expected imminently.
Son has decided to remain at Tottenham
Son has been linked to several clubs this summer, including Fenerbahçe, where the Tottenham star could reunite with José Mourinho.

Despite this, it is looking more and more likely that the 32-year-old will remain in North London for at least another season.
As reported by Football Asian (4 July), Son wants to stay at Tottenham this summer, which has come as a shock to Spurs supporters who are unsure of his place in the first team.
Tottenham will need to communicate Son’s purpose from here on out, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the forward will become a rotational option if he remains in North London.
“I think keeping Son has positives and negatives,” Wenham said.
“He has a lot of experience, and I think he can still contribute. However, he has to be willing to accept that he’s no longer going to be a guaranteed starter like he once was.
“Tottenham have signed Mathys Tel, they’ve got Mikey Moore coming through. If we keep Cristian Romero, I think he needs to be captain. Therefore, some delicate conversations need to be had with Son. However, I still think he’s a phenomenal player who can have a massive impact off the bench in games.”
Son deserves to leave on his terms
Son is perhaps the only player in the current Tottenham squad who has earned the right to decide his future.
If the Spurs skipper wants to remain, then Thomas Frank must find a spot for him. However, if he wishes to leave, then he deserves the best farewell the Lilywhites can offer.
Several top-class players have come and gone in search of silverware elsewhere. But Son stayed, and for that, he should be rewarded with more than a UEFA Europa League trophy.
