Tottenham are preparing for one of their most crucial summer transfer windows in their recent history after being involved in a relegation battle during the 2025-2026 season.

It's the first window under new manager Roberto De Zerbi, and the hierarchy will likely be looking to back him in the market.

The Italian manager certainly did a good enough job in his first few months in charge to warrant the club backing him.

There's an argument to suggest that Spurs need reinforcements all over the pitch in the summer, especially as there's likely to be players that will want to leave the club.

So far this summer, Tottenham are already closing in on the double signing of Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, who both look set to arrive on free transfers, GIVEMESPORT understands.

Tottenham Hold Striker Talks

According to a report from TeamTalk, Tottenham are one of the sides to have held talks with the camp of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Serbian forward looks set to leave Juventus this summer when his contract expires, and it's claimed that he would prefer a move to a European side despite interest from Saudi Arabia.

A host of Premier League clubs have also spoken to Vlahovic's camp. Many are likely to see him as one of the bargains of the summer due to his free agent status.

An announcement on Wednesday confirmed that Vlahovic would not be signing a new contract at Juve, and he's now free to join another club this summer.

Vlahovic's Wage Could be an Issue

Although Vlahovic is going to be available on a free transfer during the summer transfer window, Tottenham are still likely to have to pay him a significant wage package.

Reports have claimed that Vlahovic is demanding in the region of £266,000 a week, which is certainly a lot for a club like Tottenham.

Vlahovic, described as being one of the best strikers in the world by teammate Khephren Thuram, hasn't been at his best in the last few years.

There's no doubt Vlahovic would improve Tottenham's striker options, but they have to weigh up whether it makes sense from a financial perspective as well as a football one.
