Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with West Ham in the last week about a deal to sign forward Mohammed Kudus, according to TBR Football.

The north London club have responded to finishing 17th in the Premier League in the 2024/25 season by appointing Thomas Frank as their new manager, and the new boss wants to bolster his attack this summer as he prepares for a Champions League campaign following the club's Europa League win.

Several names have been linked with a move to the Lilywhites, but Spurs are looking closely at a familiar face from the Premier League with talks held recently.

Tottenham Hold New Talks to Sign Kudus

Bid planned as West Ham offer discount

Kudus, who has been described as a 'superstar', is expected to leave the London Stadium this summer after two seasons with the Hammers, as Graham Potter looks to fund his squad rebuild.

The Ghanaian has a release clause in his contract worth £85m for Premier League clubs, but with the forward unwilling to move to Saudi Arabia this summer there is no expectation that they will get that fee and it's believed they will now accept a deal worth around £60m.

Spurs have held talks in the last week about a potential move for Kudus, and the club are now planning a bid that would see the forward move across London.

Tottenham are keen to strengthen the attacking areas of the squad amid question marks over the future of captain Heung-Min Son, who is attracting strong interest from Saudi Arabia, while Richarlison is also expected to move on.

Frank tried to make a move for his ex-Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, but the Cameroonian has chosen to join Manchester United instead, while the club have also shown an interest in Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo but a deal has failed to progress because of the Cherries' £70m asking price. Eberechi eze has also been linked, with Spurs confident they could get a deal done after hearing noises he'd be open to the move.

A new number nine is also said to be on the list of targets, with Spurs holding fresh talks to sign soon-to-be free agent Jonathan David.
