Spurs are continuing a busy window in which they have already signed five new incomings, as they are interested in another player to bolster their side ahead of a congested season. Now, Tottenham Hotspur are in talks for Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

Positive Talks Underway

Santi Aouna has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Kolo Muani, with the striker managing three goal contributions in as many games at the Club World Cup for Juventus. He reports that there are “talks underway”. Meanwhile, Juventus want to keep him after a loan spell last season, but despite talks being “positive”, negotiations have “stalled for weeks” with the clubs now “far from an agreement”.

Spurs, amongst others, are “sérieux” (serious) about hijacking this deal. Premier League rivals Manchester United and Newcastle United are also “monitoring the situation”. For the Magpies, this comes after Liverpool took their top target Hugo Ekitike for £80 million and after Alexander Isak handed in a transfer request. Meanwhile, Manchester United look to strengthen their frontline even more, and have shown interest in other strikers like Benjamin Sesko.

Where Would Randal Kolo Muani Fit In?

This move seems curious, as Spurs signed Dominic Solanke for £65 million just a year ago. Thomas Frank will surely want to play a 4-2-3-1, which doesn’t leave much space for two strikers. However, at Brentford, Bryan Mbeumo had operated as a winger despite being a very direct forward, netting 20 in the league last campaign.
